Guitarist/Vocalist Matt Neth and Bassist Bryan Ray founded Black Market Flowers in San Francisco in 1990, and moved to Los Angeles, where  Heath Patterson was taken on as drummer.  The band was signed by Relativity Records  in 1993 and continued until 1998. A new album was released in 2023.
