1980s SEATTLE POWER POP. POSSIBLE GODMOTHERS OF THE RIOT GRRRL? (SEALED)
SIDE ONE
Twilite Zone | Just For Money
SIDE TWO
Mechanical Man | We Like It
This Seattle  power  pop band’s 1982 debut EP on Park Avenue Records features sisters Pamela Golden, Rebecca Hamilton, and Laura Keane as well as drummer Ron Simmons. Its four powerhouse punky pop songs were produced by Steve Fisk, Drew Canulette, and Steve Boyce at The Evergreen State College in Olympia WA. That, along with Bruce Pavitt of SubPop being an early champion makes The Visible Targets arguably the godmothers of the riot grrl movement.
