This is an expansive album by Les Cowboys Fringants ( “The Frisky Cowboys” in English.) The band is an underground/cult troupe from Montreal, Canada. They perform a mixture of  Québécois néo-traditional, neo-folk music: sometimes with symphonic overtones and sometimes contemporary rock, like this album.,  They  gained an international underground following and are especially known for their live performances.  This is a Canadian import that’s pretty close to genius.
