ICU was the collaboration of Kento Oiwa, and Michiko Swiggs. Both were of Japanese descent , and made there way to The Evergreen State College in Olympia WA in the 1990s. Their low-fi, low-tech, analog electronica was a refreshing switch-up from what comes to mind when talking about the Olympia scene in the 1990s. The duo is also known as IQU due to a name-change in 1998.
