Seattle Helps The Hungry was formed as a fundraising effort for local food banks in Seattle and for USA for Africa in 1985.  The song was performed by a “supergroup” that included members of local bands The Cowboys, Jr. Cadillac, Red Dress, Annie Rose, Uncle Bonsai,  the Seattle Seahawks and many more, as well as musicians from outside the Northwest, including  the Neville Brothers.
