TURN OF THE 21st CENTURY FREE JAZZ AND EXPERIMENTATION.
Stackpole featured Northwest musicians playing free jazz. Their debut album features guitarist Dennis Rea, alto saxophonist Wally Shoup, bassist Geoffry Harper, and Greg Kiplinger on drums. In 2000, the band won Seattle-based Earshot Jazz magazine’s “Golden Ear Award” for the best Northwest “Outside Jazz” group of 2000.
