Ron Davies is arguably the best songwiter to emerge from the Northwest. His songs have been covered by the likes of The Fabulous Wailers, The Daily Flash (It’s You Alone), David Bowie, Three Dog Night, Long John Baldry (It Ain’t Easy) Helen Reddy Maria Muldaur (Long Hard Climb) Joan Baez (Steal Across The Border) which he co-wrote with his sister Gail Davies, as well as countless other artist including Randy Travis, Joe Cocker, Mitch Ryder, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Dave Edmunds, and Bettye LaVette.
